Costa Rica 2023

Day 1 -Depart from your base city on your flight to Liberia, Costa Rica. Once arrived, get transferred from the airport to your hotel where the group will meet. Once the entire group has arrived, we will celebrate our first night together with dinner and drinks at a restaurant nearby.

Day 2 -Start the morning with an early breakfast at the hotel! Be packed up and ready to leave on an early AM road trip to the jungle of La Fortuna. We will stop for lunch with a view on the way! Once arrived to the hotel in La Fortuna, you can settle into your room and then get ready for a scenic & adventurous ATV tour in the afternoon, also included is a short cultural tour about a native Costa Rican community!

Day 3 -Enjoy an authentic home cooked Costa Rican breakfast to fuel yourself for an adventurous day ahead. This day will consist of a LOT of walking and moderate hiking. We will start at the Mistico Hanging Bridges where our private guide will tour us around, showing us wildlife in the rainforest. We will enjoy a lunch together afterwards, before the Arenal Volcano hike.

Day 4 -Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before heading out for a fun filled day of water activities with our private guide, showing us the local hang out spots! You will experience a local swimming hole (there’s a rope swing!) & river. We will also be doing a waterfall hike where once you reach the waterfall, you can swim in it! As we drive throughout the day, Daniel will keep his eyes peeled looking for any wildlife in it’s natural habitat (sloths)! This day will be a more relaxed, go-with-the-flow feel where you can enjoy the Pura Vida style of living!

Day 5 -The first half of the day is free time to enjoy however you’d like! There will be an option to do a half day pass for the Tabacon Hot Springs (highly recommend) or the Coffee & Chocolate tour in the morning. We can set these optional excursions up for you prior to arrival. We will begin our road trip to the coast of Tamarindo mid afternoon! This is a 4-5 hour road trip and we will not arrive to Tamarindo until later in the evening.

Day 6 -Enjoy a morning and early afternoon enjoying Tamarindo on your own time. We will be within walking distance to a lot of shops and restaurants, so we recommend checking it all out! The accommodation will also have an onsite pool to relax in. Be ready by 1;30PM for a private boat & snorkel trip! This will be a four hour boat ride, enjoying the views above & below the water. Once we return in the evening, you will have free time as well.

Day 7 -This is a total free day in Tamarindo. Enjoy a beach day to yourself, shop around the town, or ask us to book an option separate (and additional) excursion for you. We will present you with options at an additional cost closer to the trip!

Day 8 -This is departure day! There will be TWO airport transfers scheduled from Tamarindo to Liberia airport. Please keep in mind we recommend you booking your airfare accordingly. You may spend extra time waiting at the airport depending on how the transfers correlate with your departure time.

WHAT’S INCLUDED?

  • Excursions: Hanging Bridges Nature Tour, La Fortuna Waterfall, Volcano Hike, ATV tour, Local Swimming Holes & Rivers, Wildlife Sighting (Sloths!), Private Boat Ride & Snorkel, Free Beach Day, Authentic Costa Rican Breakfast with a local.
  • Accommodations in shared rooms with separate beds (see photos attached)
  • Transfers to and from the airport (we will assist in finding flights that work within the time frames allotted for transfers) + transportation for the road trips from Liberia to La Fortuna & La Fortuna to Tamarindo (there will be fun stops throughout these as well)
  • Private local guide (soon to be a friend) for multiple daus of the trip!
  • Tour Operators Vanessa & Baylie who have traveled Costa Rica multiple times and will be there the entire trip to assist with any questions you have while traveling internationally.
  • Breakfast everyday of the trip

WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED?

  • Flights, dinner, lunch, and any personal expenses are not included in the price
  • Any optional excursions you personally decide to do is not included in price (there is free time where YOU decide how to spend your time) We are happy to provide recommendations on things to do, places to eat/drink, etc.
  • If C19 tests are required, it is not included in the package price. However, we can help you schedule the test in Costa Rica to return home.
  • Any personal transportation (example: Uber, Taxi, etc.) used is not included. However, the transportation for the itinerary excursions and airport transfers listed are included.
  • Gratuity for the drivers, private guides, etc. is optional (Costa Rica is a tipping culture) and not included
